How to use Tradeit to trade CS2 skins

Updated 2026-08-14

Instant trading sites all follow the same shape: you swap items against a bot inventory instead of waiting for a buyer. The mechanics below take about five minutes the first time and under a minute once you know them.

1. Prepare your Steam account

Turn on the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator and wait out Valve's holding period. Without it, trades are delayed by up to 15 days and you cannot complete an instant swap. Set your Steam inventory to public so the site can read the items you want to trade.

2. Open Tradeit and check the address

Use our link or type the address yourself. The domain must read exactly tradeit.gg — nothing before it, nothing after it. Sign in through Steam OpenID; the sign-in page must be on steamcommunity.com and you never type your Steam password on the trading site itself.

3. Choose what you give and what you get

Load your inventory, select the skins you are willing to lose, then browse the site inventory for what you want. Watch both numbers: the value credited to your items and the price charged for theirs. If the difference feels wrong, change the selection or walk away.

4. Read the Steam trade offer

The offer arrives from a trade bot. Open it in Steam and compare it line by line with what you selected on the site: exact skin names, wear values and quantities. A picture is not a check — the item name is.

5. Confirm in the Steam Guard app

Steam asks for a final mobile confirmation. This screen cannot be altered by any website. If it lists something you did not agree to, cancel the trade and change your Steam password.

6. Verify what landed in your inventory

After confirming, check the received items in Steam. If anything is missing or different, keep the trade ID and contact platform support immediately — records make disputes much easier.

Common first-trade mistakes

If you would rather sell than swap, compare the alternatives first.
