Tradeit vs SkinsMonkey
Updated 2026-08-14
SkinsMonkey is the closest thing to a stripped-down version of the same idea: pick items, get an instant swap, confirm in Steam. Tradeit is the larger operation of the two by advertised inventory. Neither is a marketplace, so neither lets the open market set your price.
Where each one tends to suit
- Finding a specific skin. A bigger advertised stock generally means better odds of the exact item, which favours Tradeit on unusual requests.
- Fast, simple swaps. SkinsMonkey's lighter interface is quick when you just want to dump a handful of items into one.
- Bulk trade-ups. Both handle many-to-one swaps; check which one values your low-tier items less harshly, as this varies by item.
- Cash conversion. Neither is the right tool for turning an expensive knife into money — a marketplace listing usually is.
Judge the trade, not the brand
Instant bot trading may be faster, while marketplace-style selling may sometimes produce a different net price. Between two bot sites, the deciding factor is purely the spread on the items in front of you. Quote the same swap on both, then take the better one.
