Tradeit vs CS.MONEY
Updated 2026-08-14
Unlike a Tradeit-versus-marketplace comparison, this is a like-for-like matchup: both sites run the same instant swap model, both sign you in with Steam, and both make money on the difference between what your item is worth to them and what theirs costs you. So the useful question is not which model is better, but which site prices your particular trade better today.
What actually differs
- Inventory depth per item. Both hold large stocks, but the specific skin, float range and pattern you want may only be on one of them at any moment.
- Pricing behaviour. Each platform runs its own valuation. The same swap can be meaningfully cheaper on either site depending on the items.
- Interface and extras. CS.MONEY has a heavier interface with more surrounding features; Tradeit keeps the trade flow front and centre.
- Offer terms. Signup offers on both sides change frequently and are worth far less than a good spread on the trade itself.
The only comparison that matters
Open both sites with the same items selected. Note what each credits your skin and what each charges for the target skin. The better site for that trade is simply whichever gap is smaller — and it will not be the same site every time. Our fees page explains how to read that gap.
Safety is identical either way
Both are heavily imitated by phishing clones. Confirm the domain in the address bar, keep Steam Guard on, and read the Steam trade confirmation before approving. The full checklist is on our is Tradeit legit page, and it applies to every trading site.
