Is Tradeit legit, or a scam?

Tradeit is an established, publicly operating CS2 trading site — operating since 2017 according to its own site footer — and it uses Steam OpenID rather than asking for your Steam password. That does not make any individual trade a good deal, and it does not protect you from the much bigger risk in skin trading: fake sites and Steam social engineering that imitate the real thing.

Check the address before you log in

The login destination must be exactly tradeit.gg. Lookalikes such as tradeit-gg, tradeit.gg.com, tradelt.gg or any extra word in the domain are phishing. When Steam asks you to sign in, the page must be on steamcommunity.com — never a popup drawn inside another site.

How Steam Guard and trade confirmations protect you

Steam Guard's mobile authenticator adds a second factor to sign-ins and, importantly, requires you to approve each outgoing trade in the app. That confirmation screen is the last honest summary of what is leaving your inventory — a trading site cannot alter it. If the items listed there do not match what you agreed to on the website, cancel. Nothing on any skin platform is urgent enough to justify confirming a trade you have not read.

What we can and cannot verify

We can verify what the platform publishes: the offer currently shown, the sign-in method and the stated inventory size. We cannot audit their internal pricing or guarantee any outcome, and we do not claim to have run a documented hands-on test. Read our review methodology for exactly what our checks cover.
